A new CD has been released in Sweden. “På Spåret 2009 to 2019” by Augustifamiljen.
På Spåret is a TV game show shown on SVT and Augustifamiljen is the house band. The show features musical guests and Peter has appeared a couple of times.
The album features a selection of performances from the past decade. Peter is represented with a version of the Bacharach/David classic “Arthur’s Theme (Best That You Can Do)”.
The album is available on CD in Sweden and through the usual digital outlets.

The second single from Peter’s forthcoming album has been released. “Shape of You” is a song written by Peter himself, Kathryn Williams, Tobias Fröberg and Tobias Karlsson. It is produced by Tobias Karlsson and mixed by Ronny Lahti. The choir on the song features Joseph Clarke, Joachim Bergström, Kathryn Williams, Jessica Fox and Mariah Hargrove.
Peter appeared at “Allsång på Skansen” on 26 June 2018. He performed two songs – “Stockholm i Natt” and his new single “The Mask”. Clips of the songs can be seen on SVT’s web site until 13 September 2018.
Peter also appeared during the annual concert to celebrate Princess Victoria’s birthday on 14 July 2018. He performed “The Mask”, “Juni, Juli, Augusti” and “Come What May” (with Emmi Christensen, Peter’s co-star from the Stockholm production of “Phantom of the Opera”). Unfortunately, this concert is about to be removed from SVT’s web site.
Phantom of the Opera recently celebrated its 30th anniversary on Broadway. Peter, being the current Phantom, took part in the celebrations along with his co-stars Ali Ewoldt (Christine) and Rodney Ingram (Raoul).
On 22 January 2018, the celebration week kicked off with Peter, Ali and Rodney ringing the opening bell at the Nasdaq Stock Exchange. This was broadcast on a giant screen in Times Square.

On 24 January 2018, there was a special gala performance of the show. Our trio started the day with a ceremonial lighting of the Empire State Building. Plenty of photos were taken and some can be seen at the following links: Playbill, Theater Mania and Broadway.com.
An episode of The Broadway.com Show featured coverage of the red carpet and gala performance. The segment starts at 6:34 and Peter pops up as one of the red carpet interviews.
As part of the gala performance, Peter performed alongside the original Christine, Sarah Brightman and the cast of School of Rock in a rock version of the “Phantom of the Opera” song. Amazing version.
The actual anniversary fell on 26 January 2018. Peter and Ali appeared on the Today Show to perform “Music of the Night”. You can see that video by clicking here.

Peter has been announced as a participant in the 12th season of the highly popular Swedish TV show, Stjärnorna på slottet.
Wikipedia describes the show as follows:
The show basis is that five famous people live together in a castle for five days. Each person has one day that focuses on them and their career, they eat dinners where they discuss the individual.
Peter will be filming the show for five days in August at Teleborg Castle in Växjö. It will be broadcast on SVT after Christmas 2017.
According to Peter on the SVT site, “It will be an exciting week. It feels like an interesting collection of different kinds of long careers. I am looking forward to interesting conversations and sharing memories.”
Last year, Peter joined the ensemble cast for Modus, an eight part crime thriller from the Swedish network TV4. Peter played Rolf, the husband of Marcus (Magnus Roosmann) who get caught up in a series of brutal murders. The show was a huge success on Swedish TV and has been sold internationally. BBC 4 in the UK have the rights but as far as I know, it has not been scheduled yet.
The show is currently being repeated in Sweden and is available to watch in Australia on the SBS catch up service with English subtitles. Please be aware that there may be some geographic restrictions on watching streamed episodes.
Earlier this year, Peter Jöback and Ola Salo (formerly lead singer for the Swedish group The Ark) joined Gina Dirawi as hosts of Andra Chansen (the second chance semi-final) of Melodifestivalen 2016. As part of the proceedings, the two artists performed an uptempo duet, “Sing Me Out” written by Peter Kvint and Ola Salo.
The song has been released digitally on iTunes and Spotify but unfortunately not as a physical release.

Also on the show, Peter, Ola and Gina performed a version of “Skyfall”, the James Bond song originally recorded by Adele.
At the recent QX Gay Gala Awards, Peter was awarded Drag Artist of the Year, for his performance as Candy Darling in “Livet är en schlager”. “Livet är en schlager” also won the award for Show of the Year.
Peter gave an emotional acceptance speech where he paid tribute to his half brother Göran, who had passed away.
Peter also appeared on stage with John Glans to perform “Mil efter mil” from “Livet är en schlager”. Check out the video below.

The show has been extended again by a further 48 performances taking it up to 25 April 2015. Tickets for these extra performances go on sale at 9am on Friday 21 November 2014.
Also on Friday, the first single from the upcoming cast recording will be released to radio. “När jag faller” (When I fall) is a duet with Peter Jöback and Helen Sjöholm. There are no further details about the release of the cast recording yet.
On Saturday 22 November 2014, a TV documentary taking you behind the scenes of the show will be broadcast on SVT1 at 16:50. “Livet är en Schlager – och hårt arbete” (Life is a pop song – and hard work) will also be available on SVT Play.
