Earlier this year, Peter Jöback and Ola Salo (formerly lead singer for the Swedish group The Ark) joined Gina Dirawi as hosts of Andra Chansen (the second chance semi-final) of Melodifestivalen 2016. As part of the proceedings, the two artists performed an uptempo duet, “Sing Me Out” written by Peter Kvint and Ola Salo.
The song has been released digitally on iTunes and Spotify but unfortunately not as a physical release.

Also on the show, Peter, Ola and Gina performed a version of “Skyfall”, the James Bond song originally recorded by Adele.
At the recent QX Gay Gala Awards, Peter was awarded Drag Artist of the Year, for his performance as Candy Darling in “Livet är en schlager”. “Livet är en schlager” also won the award for Show of the Year.
Peter gave an emotional acceptance speech where he paid tribute to his half brother Göran, who had passed away.
Peter also appeared on stage with John Glans to perform “Mil efter mil” from “Livet är en schlager”. Check out the video below.

The show has been extended again by a further 48 performances taking it up to 25 April 2015. Tickets for these extra performances go on sale at 9am on Friday 21 November 2014.
Also on Friday, the first single from the upcoming cast recording will be released to radio. “När jag faller” (When I fall) is a duet with Peter Jöback and Helen Sjöholm. There are no further details about the release of the cast recording yet.
On Saturday 22 November 2014, a TV documentary taking you behind the scenes of the show will be broadcast on SVT1 at 16:50. “Livet är en Schlager – och hårt arbete” (Life is a pop song – and hard work) will also be available on SVT Play.

On 12 August 2014, Peter and Helen appeared on the popular TV show Allsång på Skansen, and performed a song from the upcoming musical, “Livet är en schlager”. The song is called “Som skapta för varann”.

Peter Jöback and Samantha Hill will perform the title song from “Phantom of the Opera” at the 67th Tony Awards this Sunday, 9 June 2013. This is to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the show on Broadway.

At last night’s second chance final of Melodifestivalen, Peter performed “Music of the Night” as one of the intermission acts. It is a powerful performance and can be seen at the SVT website for the next month.

Peter performed at Världens Barn on 12 October 2012. This is a humanitarian gala to raise money for children around the world. Peter performed two songs – “Music of the Night” from “Phantom of the Opera” and Luck Be A Lady” from “Guys and Dolls”, no doubt a taste of his I Love Musicals tour due to kick off later this month.

Peter released a brand new single on iTunes this week and it’s in English. The song is called “The Start of Something Grand” and is written by Andreas Mattson. It is being released to coincide with Peter’s TV series “Med hjärtat som insats”.
In the first episode of the TV series, Peter has the opportunity to sing at the legendary jazz club Birdland in New York. The song he performs is “The Start of Something Grand”, which he only gets just before his performance.
