In week 2, Peter performed a version of “Let Me In”, a song by Gustaf & Viktor Norén, with new Swedish lyrics by Elia Schagerström. Elia wrote the lyrics after conversations with Peter and were inspired by Peter’s half-brother Göran. A very powerful song and Peter owns it.
Week 3 saw Peter interpreting a fun song from Siw Malmkvist from 1959, “Sju vackra gossar” (Seven Beautiful Guys) in a big band style.
Both songs are available through the usual digital platforms, including Spotify.
If you are interested, here are the originals.

Week 2 saw two of Peter’s songs interpreted – Drömmare (a Swedish version of “Higher”) by Thomas Stenström amd “Stockholm i natt” by Cherrie. There were none of Peter’s songs interpreted in week 3.
Here are the versions. Both are also available digitally, including Spotify.
The first episode of Så Mycker Bättre has kicked off this weekend on Sweden’s TV4. TV4 does have a catch-up service online but unfortunately most of the content is geoblocked.
The good news is that every week the artists release their songs on digital platforms. At the end of the series, the usual practice is for a CD to be released containing all the songs.
Anyway, Peter’s first song is an amazing rendition of Melissa Horn’s “Falla fritt”. It is on Spotify and YouTube (see above).
If you’re interested, here is the original music video of Melissa’s version from 2010.
In the same episode of Så Mycket Bättre, brothers Gustaf & Viktor Norén interpreted Peter’s “Guldet blev till sand”.
While we are on a YouTube roll, here is the trailer for Så Mycket Bättre.
It’s been a little difficult to update the site recently and all though Christmas is behind us, I thought I would combine a few newsy type items in the one post.
Peter’s Christmas movie has done well, reaching number 2 on the Swedish box office charts, just behind”Joker”. Reviews have been positive, some noting the dark themes, darker than you would expect from a Christmas movie. Despite this, there is still a feel good factor and critics have praised the director and of course Peter. Keep an eye out for it at film festivals or the DVD and Blu-ray releases due in March.
Alas, no soundtrack but there is a 3 track digital EP available through the usual online providers. It contains the single “När natt flyr” and new versions of “Jag kommer hem igen till jul” and “Jag tror på dig”. Well worth checking out.
There is a music video for the new version of”Jag kommer hem igen till jul” (above), featuring more clips from the movie.
You may recall that “Jag tror på dig” is the Bob Dylan song from Peter’s Christmas album sung as a duet with Eva Dahlgren. The New version has a second uncredited male voice and although I haven’t seen the movie, I am guessing it is Johannes Kuhnke, who plays the brother. Johannes is also a singer and he even participated in Melodifestivalen back in 2010, the same year that Peter competed with”Hollow”.
Finally, another Christmas song from Peter, a duet with Moonica Mac. It is taken from a new animated short film based on the Astrid Lindgren picture story called “Räven och Tomten” (the story has been published in English as “The Tomten and the Fox”). The song with the same name is available through the usual online providers. The film was shown on SVT on Christmas Eve and can still be seen on SVTPlay albeit only in Sweden.
Peter has created a playlist on Spotify containing his original recorded versions of the songs performed in his show “Med hjärtat som insats”.
The songs on the playlist are:
Addicted
Higher
Under My Skin
This Song of Mine
Ingen skyldighet
Jag såg mig redan där
Tiden
Somebody
Balladen om det angenärna
Han är med mig nu
Jackie
Mellan en far och en son
Jag har dig nu
Glömskans tåg
Under morgonljuset
Stoppa mig
Everybody Hurts
I’m Gonna Do It
The Mask
Shape of You
Stockholm i natt
I Feel Good and I’m Worth It
Some points to note from the show. This is based on my memory of the show so please forgive any mistakes.
“Addicted” is not the first song in the show, just the latest addition to the playlist. The rest of the playlist appears to more or less follow the order of the songs in the show.
“Higher” and “Under My Skin” are in the pre-show and not the main show. They were performed by members of the ensemble.
“Stockholm i natt” is the final song in the show. “I Feel Good and I’m Worth It” is an encore.
Another five songs from Peter’s forthcoming album were also in the show but are currently not in the playlist since they have not been released yet. “What If Tomorrow Never Comes”, “Rushing Into Love”, “I Want To Know”, “Dancing” and “Believer”.
