Duet with Izabella

At Peter’s official site, a 40 second clip from one of the songs from Peter’s French album has been added to the music player. The song is called “Jag har dig nu” (literal translation = “I have you now”) and is a duet with Izabella Scorupco (pictured above). Izabella is a singer/actress and is possibly best known for being a Bond girl in the movie “Goldeneye”. Izabella released an album in the 90s and had a hit with the song “I Write You A Lovesong”.

“Jag har dig nu” is the first song on the player and can be heard on both the Swedish and English versions of www.peterjoback.com.

Album title, release date and another song…

Peter’s official site has revealed that Peter’s new album will be called “Livet, Kärleken och Döden – La Vie, L’Amour, La Mort…” which is the Swedish and French for “Life, Love and Death”.

The album will be released on 19 October 2011.

The front page of the Swedish version of Peter’s official site has a video of one of the songs from the album. The song is called “Jackie” and is a new version of “La Chanson de Jacky” written by Jacques Brel and made famous by Scott Walker in 1967. Marc Almond also had a hit with it in 1991.

Apart from “Jackie” and “Precis som vanligt”, the album will include three original songs written in a French style.

Here is a clip of Scott Walker performing “Jackie” on a TV show.

Peter Jöback debuts new song

Peter appeared on “Allsång på Skansen” last night and debuted a song from his upcoming album. The album is a collection of French songs translated into Swedish.

The song is called “Precis som vanligt” (literal translation = “As Usual”) and is the Swedish version of “Comme d’habitude”, better known to most of the world as “My Way” made famous by Frank Sinatra.

The Swedish lyrics were written by Andreas Mattsson and the song was arranged by Hans Ek.

Here is a clip of the song.

Rocket To The Moon – rare song

“Rocket To The Moon” is a song that was written by Peter Jöback and Ty Lacey. It was only available for one week back in November 2000 as a “bonus track” with Peter’s “Tonight” single. Essentially, you put the disc into your computer and you could listen to the song via the internet. After seven days, the chance to listen to the song expired. There was no chance to download it.

It did find its way as a b-side to Peter’s “Higher” single but this was only in Poland.

You can now hear the song again via a fan video on Daily Motion. It’s a good song and deserves a wider audience.
