Peter putting his heart on the line with new show

Peter has announced an exciting new show, which will play a residency at the Cirkus Theatre in Stockholm from 20 September 2018.

The name of the show is “Med hjärtat som insats”, which translates to “With his heart on the line” and has also been dubbed “His Greatest Show”. Peter has worked with his creative team Hans Marklund and Magnus Rensfors to create a music experience they are calling “Pop Theatre”.

The show has been described as a spectacular, colourful, dramatic and musical journey between different stages of life and world destinations. Decadent Berlin, romantic Paris, magical New York, sophisticated London and last but not least luxurious Las Vegas. You will meet Peter as an artist, a crooner, a musical star and a pop singer through successes, adversities, love, heartbreak and passion for the stage and showbiz.

The show will play in the evening Thursdays to Saturdays, with a matinee on Saturdays from 20 September 2018 to 15 December 2018. Click here for tickets.

More Christmas Shows

Christmas Night 2017 is a tour around Sweden in November and December featuring the artists David Lindgren, Thomas Di Leva and Molly Sandén. However, Molly is not able to make all the shows so Peter has stepped in for four of the shows that Molly will miss.

The Show of Christmas

Peter will be headlining a Christmas concert being held at the Globe Arena in Stockholm on 15 December 2017. The concert is being put on by KFS, a Swedish consumer organisation.

Tickets will be available from 9am (Swedish time) on 14 August 2017 at the following link. Members of KFS with a Coop card will be able to get discounted tickets.

Trees & Love – A concert for the climate

Peter has joined the ensemble for a special concert, Trees & Love, in support of the aid organisation Vi-Skogen that plants trees in east Africa, as a way of alleviating poverty.

The concert will be held on 12 September 2017 at the Göta Lejon in Stockholm and all proceeds will go to support children in east Africa.

The concert will also be screened at cinemas across Sweden.

Jag kommer hem igen till jul – 2015 Christmas show

Peter-Jöback-på-The-Theatre-1000x500Peter will be presenting a new Christmas show at Gothia Towers in Göteborg between 25 November 2015 and 20 December 2015.

The show premieres on Wednesday 25 November 2015 and then continues between Thursdays and Sundays until Sunday 20 December 2015.

I Love Musicals – 2015 Tour

A new Swedish arena tour for I Love Musicals has been announced for 2015. Helen Sjöholm will be Peter’s special guest and the tagline reads “Tillsammans igen” which translates to “Together again”. Helen, of course, is currently appearing opposite Peter in “Livet är en schlager and the two of them starred in “Kristina från Duvemåla” 20 years ago.

These are the dates and locations that have been announced so far.

  • 2 Oct 2015 – Helsingborg Arena, Helsingborg
  • 3 Oct 2015 – Vida Arena, Växjö
  • 9 Oct 2015 – ABB Arena, Västerås

The Tall Ship Races Fredrikstad 2014

On 14 July 2014, Peter will be staging a concert in Fredrikstad, Norway as part of the closing festivities of the Tall Ships Races. The theme is of course musicals and Peter will be joined by Norwegian musical star, Heidi Gjermundsen Broch.

Peter guest appearance at Musical Meets Symphony in Tokyo

Peter will be making his first appearance on stage in Japan on 21 May 2014 when he appears as a guest at Musical Meets Symphony, an annual concert event in Tokyo.

The concert stars Peter’s friend and fellow Phantom, Ramin Karimloo alongside other Japanese stars. The venue is the Tokyo International Forum Hall A and there are two shows at 3pm and 7pm.

It could be that Sony Music Japan are releasing Peter’s “I Love Musicals” CD to coincide with his visit.

 

News Round-Up: Phantom, New Album, Tour, Sweeney Todd

Image2013 has turned into a busy year for Peter Jöback.

Peter is currently in New York preparing for his debut on the Broadway stage as the Phantom in “Phantom of the Opera”. He is blogging for Aftonbladet so you can keep up with his activities here. It is in Swedish though.

Peter premieres as the Phantom on 29 April 2013 and will play the role in 8 performances per week until 26 August 2013 (with a few days off between 6 June and 9 June). Tickets can be booked here.

Following the success of last year’s I Love Musicals tour, Peter will be touring again in Sweden during October 2013. It will be the Broadway Edition of I Love Musicals based on last year’s tour and again featuring special guests as well as the Stockholm Symphony Orchestra. Here are the dates:

From 4 December 2013, Peter will be starring in the title role of “Sweeney Todd”, playing at Stockholms Stadsteater. At this stage, it is running until March 2014. The production will be in Swedish and will be a new translation by Calle Norlén. The  music will be conducted by Peter’s brother, Mikael. Tickets can be booked here.

On top of all this, Peter has been recording a new album. He has been dropping hints in his blog and has just given some more concrete information. It will be an album of songs from musicals, based on his I Love Musicals tour. There will be some duets on the album and Peter has been recording with his West End co-stars Katy Treharne (Phantom of the Opera) and Ma-Anne Dionisio (Miss Saigon). The only confirmed song so far is “Come What May” from “Moulin Rouge” which will be sung with both Katy and Ma-Anne. Peter has hinted that there will be a song or two from “Phantom of the Opera”. The album has had recording session in Stockholm and now New York.

I Love Musicals – The Concert Tour

Peter has announced a series of concerts scheduled for October to November. The tour is called I Love Musicals and is a tribute to the best songs from the biggest musicals, shows like Kristina från Duvemåla, Phantom of the Opera, Miss Saigon, Cabaret, Les Misérables and more.

Tickets go on sale on 29 March 2012 for the following dates:
